PROFILE

CREATIVE DIRECTOR I FOUNDER

Amy Miles is an interior designer based in the Blue Mountains, working across the region and Sydney, with recent projects in the Northern Beaches and Inner West. Amy’s vision is to create beautiful, sensory spaces which speak of the people she works with. Her work focuses on creating refined, sensory interiors that reflect the people who live within them while responding thoughtfully to the surrounding environment. Amy’s approach balances natural materials, considered detailing and timeless design to create spaces that feel both enduring and deeply personal.

After completing a Bachelor of Interior Design at the University of Technology Sydney, Amy began her career with a boutique architecture practice in Ultimo before joining Cox Architecture, where she worked for seven years as an interior designer. During this time she contributed to a range of significant projects, including the Sir John Monash Centre in France, the Sydney Cricket Ground MA Noble Stand, and major residential developments such as the Frasers Putney Hill development.

In 2013, Amy established her own practice, later naming the studio Akoe Interior Design in 2020. Inspired by the Greek word meaning to listen, Akoe reflects the studio’s philosophy of listening carefully and collaborating closely with clients to create elegant, thoughtful and enduring interiors.

Akoe works on projects big and small and would love to speak with you. Contact us now.
